Liberty 1

The horror of the Land of the Free

Where’s the bravery of being a Domestic Terrorist?

This senselessness is senseless

Now the paradigm shifts as it drifts

shot for skin color

shot for political views

shot for protesting injustice

shot for lying

shot for dying

Yet the perpetrator is alive, arrested

able to further dilute the blindness of justice

Where’s the redemption for lost souls?

More of this diagram sheds tears

cry for the innocent

cry for the oppressed

cry for the love ones

cry for hope

cry for healing

When will we realize this isn’t America?

Why do we allow a washed out narrative?

How will the problems marry the solutions?

Liberty’s fear

Liberty 2

For Liberty and Justice for who?

The oppressed, unjust, lynched

Their rights were stolen centuries ago

by indifferent Demigods who misuse

every token of truth moving forward

400 years of the immortal Jim Crow

Shaken by the very laws that were supposed to

Protect

Screaming, pleading, asking for a teaspoon of

Respect

Suddenly, when those lights go on, you’ll have some

Regrets

Every mass shooting destroys souls of families crying

Innocence is the new form of guilty

crazed measures of madness with cause and effect

Law Enforcement said he had a bad day

we pay bills for his fruitless lifetime

we can’t get ahead so peace is on borrowed time

Why are the last four years mirroring first 400?

Who is the anarchist that created this slaughter?

How are these lives taxed by the dollar?

Liberty’s faith

Liberty 3

An assurance of apathy against America

Their country vs our convenient nightmare

No counterbalance to any assembly of hope

We suffer on all levels with no base

tired of not hearing the truth we fight for

As we drown in oceans of dark insight

What horizon of ignorance will consume us?

When will any day or night be better for us?

Why would we listen to elected frauds you can’t trust?

The outsourcing of greed is killing us

now Momma Nature has turned against us

These mentally infirmed piss in the street’s toilet

A physical hurt is a morgue that repeats to complete

With the exhaustion of racism never discrete

We pull up out bootstraps that are already broken

What new Narcissist will rise to fleece Humanity?

When will the lyrics of the same perilous song change?

Why would we foresee anything better that will fade?

Liberty’s failure

Liberty 4

Those trees can only howl to hold up these atrocities

The charred ancestors’ spirits hang as their life burned out

All those futures went up in a racist, remedial smoke

Burning had married lynching to form an ugly marriage

So, my ancestors were unwilling grooms to marry

as toothy smiles of sin rinsed across their faces

This progression we tried to matriculate through

We didn’t graduate from this University of Hell

Instead we made the best of those scraps by

setting up our own society

setting up our own freedom

setting up our own vision

When Jim Crow sensed we were going to be better

He murdered, maimed, and lynch mobbed our goals

we couldn’t win for losing

we wouldn’t turn back

we shouldn’t run but we had no choice

They celebrated those senseless attacks

When will the reparation come? Never

Why do we invest in this false hope?

How do we buy a ticket to Justice?

Liberty’s fight
